Time Machine Tee – 80s Gullwing Car Shirt

If you are going to build a time machine, you may as well do it with some style. The print shows a stainless-steel 1980s sports car side-on, both gullwing doors raised like it is about to take off, its rear crowded with coils, vents and bolted-on gadgets that no factory ever installed. It is drawn with fine linework and shaded in muted teal and charcoal, with a little warm cream in the highlights, and a small retro movie logo sits underneath the car. It reads like merchandise for the most famous car in sci-fi comedy, the one that needs 88 miles per hour and a lightning strike to get you home.

Designed for 80s movie lovers, car people who can name every model in a parking lot, and anyone who still checks the clock tower, this tee fits naturally into wardrobes built around retro sci-fi, classic cars, time-travel adventures, and clean minimal illustration. Pair it with a down vest, light-wash jeans and white high-tops for a full weekend-in-1985 look.

It comes on a white or ivory Comfort Colors 1717, garment-dyed for a softly vintage tone instead of a stark bright white. The tee is cut from 6.1 oz heavyweight ring-spun cotton with a worn-in feel, shaped in a relaxed, roomy unisex fit, and finished with double-needle stitching at the collar, sleeves, and hem.
