We Are the Weirdos Tee – The Craft 1996 Shirt

Four girls walk straight at you through the rain and not one of them is going to move. Sarah, Nancy, Bonnie and Rochelle stride side by side in Catholic-school skirts, knee socks, chokers and combat boots while lightning forks across the sky behind them, the whole coven drawn in inky, stippled black like an etching from a spellbook. Above them, in sharp gothic lettering, is the line Nancy throws at a nervous bus driver: “We are the weirdos, mister.” It reads like merchandise for The Craft, the 1996 film that taught every outsider in the back row that light as a feather, stiff as a board was worth a try.

Designed for 90s goth kids, witchy-season lifers, and anyone who was called strange at school and took it as a compliment, this tee fits naturally into wardrobes built around teen witch cinema, grunge, occult graphics, and Halloween that starts in September. Tuck it into a plaid mini or black jeans, add a rosary-style necklace and scuffed Docs, and walk four abreast wherever possible.

The design comes on a Comfort Colors 1717 in white or ivory. It is a heavyweight 6.1 oz tee made from ring-spun cotton and garment-dyed, so it feels soft and washed from day one rather than crisp. Expect a relaxed, roomy unisex fit and double-needle stitching at the neck, sleeves, and hem.
